The Renaissance is conveniently located just off I-70 between Denver International Airport (DIA) and downtown Denver. We will be close to area attractions including the Shops at Northfields, Quebec Square Retail Center and Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. Families will enjoy our proximity to the Colorado Convention Center, Coors Field, Larimer Square, the Denver Zoo, the Museum of Nature and Science, and Bass Pro Shop.
Other interesting attractions nearby include:
Sitting on 868 acres and resting at 6,450 feet above sea level, Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater is the only acoustically perfect naturally occurring amphitheater in the world. The park sits on a transitional zone where the Great Plains meet the Rocky Mountains, resulting in a diverse collection of flora and fauna throughout. Explore this beautiful landscape with a guided tour, or take it upon yourself to explore the hiking/biking trails. Whichever you choose, you won’t be disappointed.
Housing over 600 historical artifacts related to transportation, the Forney Museum of Transportation is a must-see attraction for any motor vehicle enthusiast. Their collection highlights include: Union Pacific ‘Big Boy’ Steam Locomotive #4005, Amelia Earhart’s 1923 Kissel ‘Gold Bug’, Denver & Rio Grande Dining Car, Stutz Fire Engine, and 500 Piece Matchbox Collection, to name a few. Make sure to take a tour while you’re in town!
Denver is home to many sports franchises, but the Colorado Rockies are the team of choice during the summer months. If baseball is your thing, do your best to check out Coors’ Field, home of the Rockies!
